Transitional Workout Pieces
When it comes to picking pieces for my workout wardrobe, I tend to favor pieces that transition easily from a trip to the gym to going out to lunch with friends, or more often, the grocery store.
Right now, I can’t get enough of the longer biker shorts. Living in Florida, it just gets too hot wearing leggings all the time. With these Lululemon biker shorts, however, you still get the same great compression you’d get from a pair of leggings without the heat. These shorts are by far one of my favorites. Not only do they have the right amount of compression for holding it all in, but they are so comfortable. When it comes to picking out any athletic apparel, comfort easily ranks as my number one thing I’m looking for. I could literally live everyday in these. They have the perfect high-waisted height, the best length and they stay put during a workout, no matter how intense.
I tend to favor activewear that is more form fitting because baggy clothes just don’t bode well during a sweat sesh. This Lululemon crop top in black is such a great transitional piece. There’s nothing I love more than a classic black top. The simple ruching detail on the sides adds just enough character without sacrificing simplicity.
Now can we just give these sneakers a moment?! I love these Nike Air Max 270s. Not only are they something to visually admire, but they are packed full of comfort too. There are so many colors to choose from, but I went with a more traditional black and white, which never goes out of style.
When heading out, an added jean jacket, a few accessories and a pair of Converse easily takes this workout outfit from gym approved to on-trend street approved.
