Hi There!
I’m Jessica. Welcome to Truly Jess Elle, a small, cozy corner of cyberspace where I have created an outlet to express my love for fashion, beauty, family and all things lifestyle. This is my happy place where I get to share my little family’s life journey and bring you along for the ride.
So, a little bit about me. I’m from a small town in sunny Florida. I love it here and can’t even imagine living anywhere else. While I love experiencing what the bigger cities have to offer, I find it so refreshing coming home to a slower paced lifestyle.
I met my husband, Jamie, in 2007. It’s actually pretty crazy how we met. At the time, he was a project manager for a restoration company, and he was managing the repairs to my mom’s home. Right after my mom met him, she called me to tell me she had just met her future son-in-law. In 2013, he, in fact, became her son-in-law. He is just the best: great values, witty and easy on the eyes. In 2018, we had our first baby, a little girl who we named Jameson. In 2020, we had our son, Jace. These little babes bring so much joy and chaos to my days.
I went to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and graduated with a doctorate of pharmacy degree in 2009. I worked as a pharmacist for a compounding pharmacy in my hometown before purchasing the business in 2011. In April 2018, I closed the pharmacy. Before having my daughter in February 2018, I struggled with making a decision on what to do with the pharmacy. At times it performed great and at other times not so much. I was always stressed. What started out as something I loved and enjoyed doing slowly became something I dreaded. My daughter, Jameson, finally solidified my decision to close. I was devoting too much of my time to a business that no longer brought me joy, and it was sucking my time and energy that I wanted to be giving to my baby girl who brought me so much happiness.
On a lighter note, I’ve always loved shopping and finding a great deal. I truly believe in retail therapy. There’s practically nothing a new LBD can’t fix; it will at least bring a smile to your face. I love piecing together articles of clothing and finding versatile items that can be worn multiple ways.
I am so excited to share this journey with you.
Truly,
Jess Elle
